June 20 – 24, 2022

Held annually, the Sports Turf Management Conference & Trade Exhibition is the largest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, encompassing over 120 hours of education and showcasing the latest in turf management machinery, equipment, research, technology and products.

Each year, hundreds of sports turf professionals, from all areas of the industry, including Golf Courses, Stadiums, Racing, Bowls, Lawn Tennis, and Council SportsTurf Management personnel attend the variety of turf management, environment and biodiversitry and management education seminars from leading Australian and international presenters, and visit the trade show to browse, question and hear from representatives across all elements of sports turf management.

In 2022, the Australian Sports Turf Managers Association (ASTMA) and Golf Management Australia (GMA) recently announced a new partnership to combine education Conferences into a united event to be held in June 2022 – making it Australia’s largest Golf and Sports Turf Management industry event.

“This is a natural collaboration.  By combining GMA and ASTMA’s highly successful conferences into one big event, we can offer an even greater array of topics and speakers as well as an amazing chance to broaden the networking and knowledge sharing with our industry” explains GMA Executive Officer, Paul Vardy.

Mark Unwin, CEO of the Australian Sports Turf Managers Association, is equally delighted with the announcement, noting that “The approach to partnering with Golf Management Australia will ensure that the relationship between Sports Turf Managers and General Managers continues to strengthen.  A combined event for those that manage the Clubs and those that manage the Course, offers expanded access to leading education opportunities and presents an outstanding opportunity to develop stronger collaboration at Clubs to address challenges and continue evolving the game of Golf in Australia.”

Over 1,000 attendees are expected to attend the combined Conference, in which both events will be held concurrently, and delegates coming together for industry discussions, education seminars and workshops and networking events.

The event will also host a Trade Exhibition covering some 5,000m2 making it the largest and most diverse Golf and Sports Turf Management industry exhibition ever staged in Australia.
