A campaign has teed off to sell a popular par three golf course on the Sunshine Coast, with expectations it could change hands for up to $4 million.
The Glenview Par 3 Golf Course, on the southern end of the Sunshine Coast at 2574 Steve Irwin Way, Glenview, is being sold through CBRE’s Rem Rafter and Brendan Robbins.
The 12.1ha property has a nine-hole golf course, a club house with 34 car spaces and a three-bedroom residence and has been operating for almost 17 years.
Mr Rafter said its owned by a local family who are looking to retire.
“It’s still a very profitable business but its just time for them to have a break,” he said.
“It could actually continue as the existing business and would suit younger retirees who are looking for a seachange.”
Mr Rafter said there were potentially “higher and better uses” for the property with significant development potential for a tourist park, education facility or food and beverage outlet, subject to approvals.
He said the listing was an exciting opportunity for buyers hoping to capitalise on the region’s tourism boom.
