Mini golf course opens up at Sugarworld Water Park

Far Northerners will have a new attraction to tide them over between splashes on the slides at Sugarworld Waterpark.

A newly opened mini golf course under the famous water slides will offer nine holes of challenging holiday fun.

Edmonton siblings Tennessee Peleseuma, 7, and Manaia Peleseuma, 9, got a preview of the course yesterday.

Their mum Courtney said they were looking forward to showing up their older brother and sister when the whole family went along.

“It’s got a nice design, you start at the bottom of the hill and make your way up as it goes underneath the water slides,” she said.

Belgravia Leisure Queensland state manager Dan Cullen said the course would appeal to adults as much as kids.

“It’s going to be quite funky, the mini golf will appeal not just to the young kids but also to adults because we’ve got a licensed bar, so you can have a drink while you wander around and have a game.”
