Lacrosse sticks will replace the usual Sherrins at Norwood Oval this Saturday.
For the second year in a row, the ground – which is more famed for its football and baseball – is hosting Lacrosse SA’s premier league grand finals.
The Burnside Bears will face reigning premier Glenelg in the men’s grand final after accounting for Brighton in the preliminary final at Norwood 11-9.
Lacrosse SA promotions director Marty Baker said playing the finals at Norwood Oval was a coup for the sport, with 2000 spectators expected to attend over the course of the day.
“In the past, grand finals have been held at individual clubs,” Mr Baker said.
“It will be a great spectacle for the lacrosse community and will bring in other groups of people from the region.
“We had about 2000 people last year so we’d be hoping for something similar.”
