With the valuable support of PGG Wrightson Turf the NZGCSA is very happy to invite applications for the 2017 NZGCSA Environment Award supported by PGG Wrightson Turf.

This a great opportunity for you and your golf club to be rewarded for your efforts towards making the environment a better place now and for the future. At a time when many eyes are looking at our and associated industries on the use of fertilisers and chemicals this is an awesome chance to show that we act responsible and sustainable with our practices and with the environment that surrounds us.

Don’t feel that you have to have completely achieved the package environmentally to apply. It is an on- going and evolving process and you may be part way but well into your goals to improve your course environmentally.

The winning Golf Club will receive $3500 cash prize and the winning Superintendent a cash prize of $1500 used solely for continued education/study trip for environmental stewardship both courtesy of PGG Wrightson Turf.

Applications close Friday 23rd February 2018 and the award is open to NZGCSA Class A members working on NZ golf courses.  The Award is being presented and recognised at the Australasian Turfgrass Conference which is taking place in Wellington 25-29 June 2018.
