Ocean Dunes still on the market

Initially hitting the market in 2017 for $16 million, with a sale that includes a hotel at Currie, the 18-hole golf course in Tasmania was ranked number 6 this year in Golf Australia’s Top 100 Public Access Courses, with judges stating “it remains one of the country’s most spectacular courses”.

Paul Mason Real Estate agent Paul Mason said there have been three buyers interested in Ocean Dunes but the COVID-19 pandemic had contributed to stalled sales.

“For one reason or another COVID killed the agreement,” Mr Mason said.

Ocean Dunes marketing manager Russell Mitchell said border closures throughout the pandemic had led to hundreds of rescheduled golf rounds at the course, but the near future for the sport looked very promising.
