It has been the scene of SA football and cricket’s most iconic moments.
But for the first time in Adelaide Oval’s 147-year history the famous venue is preparing to welcome golf to its hallowed turf.
From Monday, October 29, to Sunday, November 4, the North Adelaide ground will be transformed into a nine-hole stadium golf course.
Oval general manager Darren Chandler said the concept was a national first.
“We’re always looking for innovative and exciting events to bring to Adelaide Oval and this is one we believe will have significant appeal,” Mr Chandler said.
Play, which will run from 7am-8.30pm daily, will be in groups of four on holes ranging from 50-90m in length.
Rounds cost $119 per person and are limited to 2520 spots.
