Here’s a venue for diehard footy fans. James Whitford was on holiday in Tasmania and did a double take when he saw this footy ground at Swansea.
The home ground of the Swansea Swans shares its boundary line with a cemetery.
So close is the graveyard, in fact, the boundary line does a dog leg around the graves that actually encroach on the ground.
“I thought it looked strange, and then when I got closer I must admit seeing the boundary line painted around to accommodate for the cemetery was amusing,” said James.
“The football often gets kicked into the graveyard and the kids have to run in and retrieve it,” our informant said.
