Toro TimeCutter® Series update

Toro Australia has updated its TimeCutter® Series of zero-turn mowers with exciting new features for 2015. Enhancements include an expanded Smart Speed® control system, a new deluxe seat and an additional deck size.

The expanded Smart Speed control system on new TimeCutter models features three speed ranges — Trim, Tow and Mow — that can be changed with the flip of a lever. The low-speed “Trim” mode can be used for trimming, parking and training. The medium-speed “Tow” mode is designed for use when towing attachments, bagging or mulching.  The top-speed “Mow” mode is ideal for mowing wide-open areas.

We have been very pleased with how much customers value our innovative Smart Speed® feature,” says Elise Willemsen, Senior Marketing Manager Equipment at Toro. “That’s why we have decided to enhance its functionality even further by adding a third speed range to maximize performance of key tasks such as towing attachments, bagging and mulching.”

The new TimeCutter zero-turn mowers also feature 15” (38.1 cm) mid back or 18” (45.7 cm) high back, thickly padded premium seats (high back on select models) that provide ample back support for a smooth, comfortable ride. The cut-and-sew style seat is similar to the seats found on commercial landscape contractor equipment designed for operator comfort during continuous all-day use.

Beyond these features, select TimeCutter models are equipped with exclusive Toro® engines. Every Toro engine is designed and tuned specifically for the machine it powers to maximize performance. Plus, Toro’s new V-Twin engine is equipped with the Max-Flo™ Air Filtration System to keep dirt and debris out of the engine for longer life.

The TimeCutter MX zero turn mowers offer the same time-saving speed and agility of the TimeCutter SS with the added strength and durability of a fabricated deck and heavy duty transmissions. The foot-assist height of cut makes it easier for you to raise and lower the fabricated deck to help you work smarter, not harder.

The fabricated decks (available in 34”, 42 and 50” sizes) are welded together from plates of heavy-duty 10-gauge steel (the lower the gauge, the thicker the steel) and feature a bull-nose bumper on the leading front edge for tough mowing conditions.

All TimeCutter models come standard with a hitch for pulling a variety of attachments and feature an automatic parking brake that engages when the control arms are moved outward.

The TimeCutter zero-turn mower will continue to deliver outstanding versatility, manoeuverability and time savings.

TimeCutter owners report an average time savings of 45 percent compared to their previous mower (based on a 2008-2012 survey of Toro residential zero-turn mower owners).
