Toro turf masters

The invitation only Toro Turf Masters event took place at Barnbougle Dunes and Lost Farm Golf Courses near Bridport, Tasmania, from 30 April to 2 May.

Forty-five superintendents from Australia and five supers from Asia and New Zealand came together in an informal way.

Besides enjoying a round of golf at two of Australia’s most outstanding courses, the event gave Superintendents the opportunity to meet people doing the same roles and come together to talk ‘turf’ and gain knowledge about maintaining golf course surfaces.

Attendees received product training on Toro Irrigation and Equipment products, and were able to try out a whole line up of new machinery.

The chance to mix and socialise with people from different sized courses around Australia, Asia and New Zealand received a lot of positive feedback from participants.

Phil Beal, Course Superintendent from the Australian Golf Club in NSW said: “The most enjoyable part for me was the mixture of guys you invited. It was refreshing to meet people from all types of golf courses and regions”.

Mark Jennings, Course Superintendent at Box Hill Golf Club felt that the chance to network with fellow Superintendents and Toro Representatives in a casual and social manner far exceeded any other events he had previously been to.
