After many volunteer hours of hard work, the members of Thornleigh Baseball Club finally have a home ground to match their unrivalled passion for the sport.
Members from all levels of the club have taken time out from their busy lives to help give the baseball diamond at Oakleigh Oval a much-needed upgrade.
“It took 30 volunteers and three full days to get all the work done, as well as many mornings watering and mowing,” Thornleigh A Grade player Jack Warwick said.

“Thornleigh Baseball has been playing on Oakleigh Oval for 40 years and we have had a long history of strong community support. We are so proud of the dedication to our field.
“It is pretty amazing to have so many volunteers put in the hours and work to make this transformation happen.”
