In 2018 and 2019 Toro Australia sent some Australian Golf Assistant Superintendents to experience working at the home of Golf and this year we’re doing it all again!
If you are an up and coming Australian Golf Assistant Superintendent who would love to intern at one of the world’s most iconic Golf Courses, then here is the opportunity for you. Toro Australia in conjunction with St Andrews Links are giving two people the chance to win the experience of a lifetime!
Over a period of two weeks you’ll get to assist Sandy Reid, the Director of Greenkeeping, St Andrews Links and his team on daily activities. You will also shadow the Course Managers and spend time with the Learning and Development Officer.
“We are delighted to be able to offer the internship again this year”, said Elise Willemsen, Toro’s Equipment Marketing Manager. “Thanks to the Toro Company’s long standing partnership with St Andrews Links, we can again help Australian Assistant Superintendents gain further training and work experience at one of the best courses in the world. Previous year’s winners have had an amazing experience and returned with renewed passion, and great insight into the expectations and challenges of their jobs.”
Entering is easy. Go to www.toro.com.au/internstandrewslinks, your Superintendents will need to nominate you and describe in 300 words or less why they think you would be the best candidate to intern at “The Home of Golf”. Applications must be received by the 27th of March 2020.
Your club will need to approve you being away from the 9th of July to the 23rd of July 2020 before applying (including travel time). Winners will be announced on the Toro Australia website and social media pages by the 3rd of April.
