Well another bowls season done and dusted hopefully everyone made it through with not to many knives in their backs.

Most bent green keepers now it’s not quite time for R and R as there are plenty of greens to renovate over the coming weeks.

For those green keepers doing new tops, hopefully the sun keeps shining and a little bit of rain to help with germination and for the green keepers renovating- we hope your work is successful.

As you all know, this is the time that the VGA kick into gear with a action packed winter with lots of events and information sessions.

At the end of the month we have the return of the Yarra cruise and tour of Etihad Stadium.

This has been a great networking day for green keepers and volunteers to let there hair down and relax cruising down the Yarra talking shop at the end of the season.

The next thing on the agenda is the turf tour to Adelaide which has been booked out, with a full bus of 24 green keepers heading over.

Phil and Dyson have organised a great trip and I’m sure all the guys will get a lot out of it and will be willing to pass on any good ideas to their fellow green keepers that can’t attend.
